ECLN Meeting

The aim of the initiative of the European canine lymphoma network (ECLN) is strengthening the collaborative bond within Europe between colleagues working on various aspects in the field of canine lymphoma. It is open for various disciplines from first opinion clinicians, clinical pathologists, oncologists, anatomic pathologists in the “primary diagnostic field” over molecular geneticists, immunologists and basic research disciplines as “fundamental research for basic research, improvement in diagnostics and treatment” and “palliative and additional support” as special nutrition, pain management and quality of life in oncology patients.

Due to the similar features with the human counterpart in terms of genetics, environmental exposure as well as treatment methods, canine lymphoma is known as a perfect animal model for humans.

For this fact, the above-mentioned involved disciplines are seen valid for veterinary and human medicine colleagues to benefit both veterinary and human medicine especially concerning new diagnostic methods.

Planned regular activities:

  • Online meetings 4 times/year with scientific exchange/presentations/ discussion of perspectives
  • Online presence via Facebook page
  • Every other year in presence meeting: International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma (ICML) – next meeting June 21, 2025
  • Applying for a COST initiative for funding – strengthening the network
